Secondly, affected by the epidemic, the import of Fibraurea Stem was blocked, which also promoted the rise of raw materials.
Thirdly, the resources of Phellodendron are limited,and there may be a period of 5-7 years of tight supply.In the past few years before 2017,the price of Phellodendron decoction pieces and the purchase price of fresh Phellodendron peel were low,dampening the enthusiasm of farmers for planting.However,the harvesting of Phellodendron bark requires more than 8- 10 years of age,and the harvesting by farmers is also one-time stripping.It is expected that there will be a shortage in the supply of Phellodendron bark for about 5-7 years,and the supply in some areas will need to recover in about ten years.
The above three points are the reasons for the price increase of Berberine HCL.
